After using for just under 5 months, the phone still works well and as advertised. A good feature is that the portable handsets use standard rechargeable batteries instead of the costly battery packs required by most other phones. Contrary to some raters, the range is also excellent, and I frequently use the phone outside of the house. Set-up instructions are pretty straight forward with this unit. It has all the standard features I would want. My only complaint is the distortion in the recorded messages. The words are still intelligible, but the fidelity is only adequate., I returned this to the store a week after buying it. I was hoping this would be an economical replacement to voice mail but I just couldn't get over the cons.
